Game Day Live pep band are
4X National Champions!
The Game Day Live Pep Band is an audition only ensemble that competes along side the cheerleaders. The season culminates in a competition hosted in Disney World in February.
Independence Pep Band and Competition Cheer have earned the title National Champions four times in the past five years. Varsity introduced a new Pep Band Division this year, and the Indy Band won the National Champion title for that too.
Auditions for GDL Pep Band are typically held in August. Performers are expected to show off their dance skills, as well as, play the school fight song and additional music.

Freshman Band (9th Grade):

Symphonic Band (10th, 11th, and 12th Grades):

Wind Ensemble (10th, 11th, and 12th Grades):
Step into the spotlight with our Wind Ensemble, an assembly of our most accomplished musicians. Auditions are open to all, giving you the chance to showcase your talent and commitment. Join this ensemble to elevate your musical expression, strive for excellence, and deliver performances that resonate long after the applause.
Color Guard and Winter Guard
In the Fall, the Color Guard performs as part of the marching band during the halftime show. They visually enhance the music with choreography, flags, rifles, etc. They participate in Band Camp.

Winter Guard is a performance ensemble that participates in competitions beginning in November and ending in March. In order to be part of Winter Guard, you must audition.
